Ask for Feedback

Whether you’re in a relationship, or a job, or even a friendship, ask for feedback.  How am I doing? What about my actions make you feel positive, or negative?  Are we in the same place?  By not asking, you’re not as connected as you could be. You’re also very possibly creating confusion.  Maybe you’re doing one thing thinking that your boss wants it, but in fact your boss wants something different, so you’re in fact you’re working harder than necessary to do something “wrong” and it all would have been avoided with simple feedback.  Maybe you are doing something which bothers your partner when in fact you think they like it.

Ask for feedback.  It creates a better connection, and it should always lead to better spent energy.
