Self-Care is Vital

No matter how good of an employee, friend, son/daughter, mother/father that you are, you need to make it number 1 priority to take care of yourself.  If you exhaust yourself to the point where you’re always tired, or your context around time shifts to “not enough,” or your body just breaks down on its own, then you can’t be in integrity with the other relationships.

Set aside time to rest.  Mediate.  Exercise.  Take vacation.  Turn off your cell phone.  I don’t care what your choices are, the important thing is it needs to be done.  Anyone who hears you say that you need to take this time for yourself and doesn’t respect it doesn’t deserve your full energy anyway.

Self-care is vital.  Always make it a top priority.
