This is perhaps the number one reason to hire a coach. I see this situation often. Suppose a client wants to lose 40 pounds in 6 months, and decides to only go to a restaurant/bar one night per week while dieting. Then two different friends have something to celebrate in the same week and they compromise their rule. Then they miss their goal that week and eventually give up. This compromise happens so often, in so many different places, to so many people.
Whether it is health, romance, career, business, buying a house, buying a car, or even having dinner, your conditions of satisfaction are important to you. If it is important to you but you choose to not take it seriously, how would you expect anyone else to react?
If you really want something, don’t compromise. Make it yours.
