Does this sound like you? “Oh that can’t happen, I’m too unlovable/short/uneducated/inexperienced/anything negative.” The whole idea of saying how things are and dismissing possibility is a tricky place to come from. Remember your language can change your world, by the time you say things like this, you’ve already given up.
Don’t approach situations pointing out what is inherently wrong. Approach with what is missing, and what you can do to make a difference, if that’s what you want to do. Be very careful of saying what is so as a reason why things are limited.
Saying “what is” can be dangerous. Try to avoid it for a week, and see what opens up for you!
